Marco’s Pizza, a national chain known for its specialty pizzas and more, has plans to open a new location right here in Gordon County. According to their website, the new store is marked as “coming soon” and will be located at 1503 Red Bud Road, Suite 102, in Calhoun.
That spot is part of the same development as the Circle K Shell gas station. The building includes two additional suites and even has a drive-thru lane.
Marco’s Pizza, which got its start back in 1978 in Oregon, Ohio, has grown to over 1,000 locations across 34 states, plus Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. Their menu features pizza bowls, subs, salads, wings, and of course, a wide variety of pizzas.
In mid-February, the City of Calhoun granted Miller Contracting a permit to remodel the suite. Construction crews have been spotted at the location unloading equipment and materials, signaling that work is officially underway.
