Burn Ban Alert: The annual Summer Open Burn Ban is in effect May 1 – Sept 30 across 54 Georgia counties, including Gordon County. This ban helps protect air quality & prevent wildfires.
Counties in our area: Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Dawson, Floyd, Forsyth, Gordon, Haralson, Lumpkin, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Walker.
Yard debris burning is prohibited, but small cooking/warming fires are allowed if attended & fully extinguished.
