Margaret Louise VanDyke Mulkey, age 80 of Plainville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
Margaret was born on April 25, 1944 in Rome, GA, the daughter of the late James William VanDyke and Edna Lorene Carter VanDyke. In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband Lessley “Steve” Mulkey; three brothers, James VanDyke, Howard VanDyke, and Charles VanDyke; two grandchildren, Kevin and Keith Stanfield; and sister, Vera Carver. She was a member of Salacoa Baptist Church. Margaret enjoyed gardening and flowers and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by: her three children, Gary (Starlene) Stanfield, Jimmy (Shelia) Stanfield, and Sheila (Billy) Wiseman; six grandchildren, Madison (Cameron) Boswell, McKayla (Nathan) Petty, Megan Wiseman, Jennifer (Joby) Titus, Sarah Stanfield, and Dillon (Kayla) Logan; six great-grandchildren; very special niece, Kim Carver and one brother, Earl VanDyke also survive.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 12 PM until 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Kenny Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include: Daryle Hefner, Don Stanley, Keith Smith, Trace Kite, and Joby Titus.
