Mr. Robert Lamar Sluder, age 64 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Sluder was born in Gordon County on April 3rd, 1960, a son of the late Jordan Sluder and Nellie Jo Evans Graham. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Sluder worked as a mechanic for CTI Trucking in Calhoun. In his spare time, he loved to be outdoors and fish. Mr. Sluder was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sister, Ms. Sue Parker of Sonoraville; very special friend and caregiver, Mrs. Beth O’Donnell; niece, Melissa Parker; nephew, Glenn Parker; adopted grandson, Dawson Vanover; two uncles, Fred Evans and Dow Evans; several cousins
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, at 4 PM in the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Cary Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery with his nephews serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 1st, from 2 PM until 4 PM at the funeral home.
